Original Scumble

Polyvine’s Original Scumble is an acrylic transparent glaze for decorative paintwork. A favourite of professional decorators everywhere, it’s unique because it gives you up to one-hour’s working time before drying to a durable, water-resistant finish on a wide range of surfaces.

It’s a suitable glaze for interior or exterior use, and it’s the first water-based product that faithfully reproduces the beauty of traditional oil finishes.

Tropical Scumble

A clear acrylic glaze that can be used with acrylic colourant

Polyvine’s Tropical Scumble offers a one-hour working time glaze in temperatures above 21 degrees centigrade.

Sizes - Available in 500ml, 1 litre and 4 litre

Uses - colour washing, dragging, graining, marbling, frottage, leather effects, stippling

Coverage - 10-20 square metres per litre

This is a unique and transparent acrylic glaze for decorative paint work in temperatures above 21°c/70°f, or in lower temperatures where a longer working time is required.

It dries to a durable water resistant finish on a wide range of surfaces. This interior or exterior glaze is the first water-based product that faithfully reproduces the beauty of traditional oil finishes.

Classic Colour Scumble

A clear acrylic glaze that offers a one hour working time.

Polyvine’s Classic Colour Scumble Clear Acrylic Glaze can be mixed with emulsion, and is the only one-hour working time glaze.

Sizes - Available in 1 litre, 2 litre and 4 litr

Uses - colour washing, ragging/bagging, graining, stippling, sponging

Coverage - 10-20 square metres per litre

When coloured with satin or matt emulsion/latex, this beautiful acrylic glaze can be used to produce semi-transparent coloured paint effects.

For best water and wear resistance, allow a minimum of 48 hours before protecting with Polyvine Decorators Varnish (gloss, satin or dead flat).
